Where To Buy Whey Protein Powder And Other Supplements In Vietnam

A lot of new expats struggle with where to buy whey protein powder and other bodybuilding supplements in Vietnam.

Well, I have good news and bad news:

The good news is that it’s now pretty easy to find most of the main supplements. Whey protein, casein, creatine, BCAA, pre-workout…it’s all here.

The bad news is you’re almost certainly going to end up spending more money for them than wherever you come from.

Yeah – it sucks a bit paying almost double prices. But Vietnam is so damn cheap in other aspects that it all works out in the end.

Whey Protein Price Vietnam: What To Expect To Pay

So how much more should you expect to pay? I usually buy the 5kg (11 lb) Impact Whey protein bags from MyProtein:

• In Vietnam, they cost 2.3 million VND (~$100). This is the pretty standard price for all the vendors I’ve seen.
• In the USA, they can be had for ~$55 with MyProtein’s constant sales.

So yeah, there’s definitely a bit of a premium with how much whey protein costs in Vietnam. But watcha gonna do? Put 40 lbs of whey in a suitcase on your next trip home (ok, I’ve done that. But it’s not a great long-term solution).

Where To Buy Whey Protein In Hanoi Or Ho Chi Minh City

After buying from a bunch of different places, I’ve settled on two vendors that I like. The advantage of these vendors is:

• Both of them speak English, so there aren’t any order difficulties
• Both have branches in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, so you can order from them no matter where you live.
• They consistently have the lowest prices (in fact, you’ll see that their prices are identical on most stuff).

I’ve probably bought the most whey from these guys. Good service and same day delivery. Prices are about as low as you get, though not any lower than most stores.
